According to forecasts, winter temperatures in the European countries will stay below those recorded in the last two years. Lower average temperatures are expected in the southern countries, including Italy. Bloomberg predicts that the demand for heating can reach the highest level since the start of the Ukraine conflict.

The situation, as per the news portal, is being made worse by rising gas and electricity costs, and can be exacerbated further by cessation of Ukrainian gas transit to Europe.
