Biden approved limit on number of new refugees in the United States: 125 thousand

US President Joe Biden has approved a limit on the permissible number of new refugees in the country in fiscal year 2025 at the level of 125 thousand people, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the White House

It is noted that Joe Biden signed a presidential decree on October 1^st on the admission of refugees for the 2025 fiscal year, approving the limit of 125 thousand people.

It is clarified that, in the 2024 fiscal year which ended on September 30^th in the United States, the limit on the number of refugees amounted to 100,000 people, which was the highest figure over the past thirty years.
