Belgospishcheprom expanding co-operation with Azerbaijan
In 2023, the growth rate of foreign trade turnover of Belgospishcheprom Concern with the Republic of Azerbaijan stood at 104.8 percent compared to the previous year – as reported by the concern’s press service
In 2023, Belgospishcheprom organisations shipped 17.4 percent more confectionery products to the Azerbaijani market than a year earlier. In total, 18 enterprises of the concern deliver their produce to Azerbaijan.
“Last year, supplies of Belarusian sugar were resumed to this market and over 500 tonnes were shipped. In 2022, we entered the brewing market of Azerbaijan, exporting almost 800 tonnes of brewing malt for its industrial consumers in 2023,” Belgospishcheprom’s press service reported.
To strengthen their position in the market and establish working contacts with Azerbaijani distributors, the Belarusian concern’s manufacturers took part in the InterFood Azerbaijan exhibition in May 2023.
“The plans for this year include organising a joint exposition of food products of subordinate enterprises at the specialised agricultural exhibitions of the Caspian region – Inter Food Azerbaijan and Caspian Agro – to be held from May 15th-17th in Baku,” the concern’s press service added.
In November 2023, a meeting of the Belarusian part of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Azerbaijani commission on trade-economic co-operation took place, during which the parties agreed to increase the supply of Belarusian food to Azerbaijan.
