BELAZ to expand its dump truck production
BELAZ JSC plans to expand the range of its dump trucks produced – as informed by Sergei Lesin, the Director General of BELAZ JSC – Management Company of BELAZ-HOLDING, at a strategic session of the International Gas Forum held recently in St. Petersburg, the company’s press service reports
“BELAZ sees consumers’ needs in gas-powered vehicles of higher loading capacity, so it has decided to expand the range of the dump trucks it produces,” Mr. Lesin said.
Last year, BELAZ presented its 90-tonne dump truck powered by gas and, in 2024, the world's first 130-tonne dump truck (BELAZ-7513P) using LNG as fuel. After the presentation of the latter in June 2024 at the Coal of Russia and Mining-2024 exhibition, the dump truck went for operational tests in the Kemerovo Region.
“Continuing to meet the needs of consumers, we plan to produce a 130-tonne bi-fuel dump truck, which will have a significantly higher percentage of diesel replacement than its predecessors, as well as a prototype gas dump truck in the 220-tonne payload segment,” Mr. Lesin informed.
