Belaya Rus Party to expand co-operation with Cuban Communist Party
Belaya Rus Chairman Oleg Romanov has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Belarus, Santiago Perez Benitez, and the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Emilio Ratmir Lozada Garcia
“Our countries have been supporting each other on international platforms for many years, sharing a similar opinion regarding the geopolitical processes taking place in the world. Moreover, Minsk-Havana co-operation is of a bilateral strategic nature,” noted the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party.
In turn, Belaya Rus Chairman Oleg Romanov spoke about the party’s work to prepare and conduct elections of deputies on a single voting day, “112 members of our party are fighting for mandates as deputies of the lower house of Parliament, and more than five thousand party members are fighting for seats in local councils of deputies. Moreover, it is planned to send over three thousand party members to monitor voting and the work of election commissions; most of them have already received accreditation.”
The party’s press service recalled that an active dialogue between the leading parties of Cuba and Belarus was launched last October, with the next meeting scheduled for May 2024.
