Belarusian young athletes to take part in Children of Primorye Games

Today, the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus, Viktor Lukashenko, has held a working meeting with Governor of Russia’s Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako – as reported by the NOC press service

The parties noted the importance of active sports co-operation between Belarus and Primorye for the dynamic development of the Union State relations.

The Primorsky Krai delegation arrived in our country for a more detailed study of the use of the sports base; the issues of patriotic education of Primorye children will be also raised using the examples of the Stalin’s Line and Buinichi Field complexes, etc.

During the meeting, Viktor Lukashenko and Oleg Kozhemyako discussed the possibility of participation of the Belarusian delegation in the 1st Children of Primorye Summer International Sports Games, which will be held on July 1st-6th this year.

Viktor Lukashenko stated that Belarusian and Russian athletes have begun to communicate more closely lately.

“The Forum for Young Olympians, which finished in Moscow, once again underlined the importance of communication between the two countries’ young athletes, it has become much larger, and we are always open for even closer collaboration in the field of sports, physical culture and patriotic education,” said the Head of Belarus’ NOC.
