Belarusian pavilion at VDNKh opened with new exposition dedicated to Russia exhibition-forum
Belarus’ pavilion at the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNKh) presented a new exposition – based on the achievements of Belarusian science, as well as joint Belarusian-Russian developments of the recent years – dedicated to the start of the Russia international exhibition-forum
On the eve of the forum's opening, the venue was visited by Belarus’ First Deputy Prime Minister, Nikolai Snopkov, and the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia, Dmitry Krutoi. In line with the agreement with the Russian Government, the Belarusian pavilion was modernised. “I reported this concept to the President, and he instructed that there should be a very powerful presentation of the achievements of Belarusian science, including, of course, joint Belarusian-Russian developments. Naturally, the nuclear power plant is our main project of co-operation – and the projects with Rosatom in general, but there are a lot of other new and interesting directions. The exhibition of achievements of our science – Intellectual Belarus – was held in the republic, and it enjoyed much success among specialists and citizens. We are presenting some of its elements at our VDNKh pavilion,” Mr. Krutoi said.
Belarusian developments in the field of electric transport form the central part of the exposition. They feature, in particular, a model of an electric convertible developed at the Academy of Sciences, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes, including for the agro-industrial complex, a helicopter and space technologies.
“There are also thematic sections – such as microelectronics, new technologies in agriculture and medicine, and others. This is exactly the concept we have tried to bring to life – so that technologies of interest to specialists are also present. At the same time, we have tried to make half of our stands applied and understandable to visitors. According to our estimates, at least one million people are likely to visit the exposition in six months. Accordingly, it is very important to present the best and latest developments," the diplomat added.
Mr. Krutoi stressed that Belarus intends to demonstrate the scientific and technological groundwork that it has together with the Russian Federation, as well as the intermediate achievements of the joint programmes.
The Russia international exhibition-forum opened on November 4th, 2023. It aims to demonstrate the most important achievements of the Russian Federation in various sectors of the economy, including industry, energy, agro-industrial complex, transport, construction, science and culture, and to promote further international co-operation.
