Belarusian diplomats donate 10 gift books about Belarus to Istanbul University
Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Aleksei Shved held a meeting with Rector of Istanbul University Mahmut Ak and Director of the Istanbul University Library Sonay Tahmaz Kaleci – as reported on the website of the Consulate General of Belarus in Istanbul
During the conversation, the Belarusian diplomat noted that the meeting is taking place in the year of the centenary of the National Library of Belarus, with which the oldest Turkish university has been partnering for exactly three years. He thanked the Istanbul University Rector for the earlier congratulatory message and a gift of several valuable publications relating to the era of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent.
The parties discussed areas of co-operation for 2023.
In a solemn atmosphere, Aleksei Shved presented Istanbul University with a collection of ten gift publications about the Republic of Belarus, selected by their Belarusian partners.
