“The finals of the 13th Russian Event Awards were held from November 27th-29th in Nizhny Novgorod,” RUTI informed. “This competition brought together 574 projects from 63 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus and South Ossetia. 317 projects from Russia and 3 from Belarus reached the finals.”
Belarusian projects were highly appreciated by the jury, winning awards in two nominations.
The second place in ‘The Best Idea of a Tourist Event’ nomination was awarded to the interactive popular science family and youth festival Mammoth.by from the Kalinkovichi District of the Gomel Region. The event combines a scientific approach, family values and a creative format. The Mammoth.by tourist event was developed by the Sports and Tourism Department of the Kalinkovichi District Executive Committee.
The Grand Prix in the ‘Event of the Union State’ nomination went to the Roads of Yekaterina forum, inspired by Yekaterina II’s trips. The project, implemented by the Territory of Development — 21st Century private institution from Gomel, includes theatrical productions, gastronomic tastings, quests and excursions. It covers the regions of Belarus and Russia: Gomel and Mogilev regions, Bryansk and Smolensk regions, as well as the Krasnogvardeisky District of St. Petersburg.
“Belarusians are not resting on their laurels: on December 4th-6th, Perm is hosting the finals of the Tourist Souvenir all-Russia competition, with three projects from the Vitebsk Region,” the Republican Union of the Tourism Industry added.
