Belarus’ Shkurdai claimed silver at World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Shanghai

Anastasiya Shkurdai has won silver at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Shanghai, thus bringing the number of Belarusian awards at these representative competitions to five, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of Belarus’ National Olympic Committee (NOC)

The Belarusian swimmer covered the 200m backstroke distance in 2 minutes 01.31 seconds, behind only Regan Smith of the US (2.00.42).

Alina Zmushka is placed fourth in the 50m breaststroke while Ilya Shymanovich finished fifth in the 200m breaststroke.

In total, Belarusian swimmers earned five silver medals in Shanghai. Earlier, Ilya Shymanovich and Alina Zmushka climbed the second step of the medals podium twice each.

The next stage of the World Cup will be held on October 24th-26th in Incheon (Republic of Korea).
