Belarus, Russia discuss co-operation with international sports organisations
President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko has met today with President of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev – as reported by NOC in its Telegram channel
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Belarusian Tennis Federation Sergei Rutenko. The interlocutors discussed issues of co-operation in the sports sphere between the two states, plans to hold joint tennis tournaments and interaction with international sports organisations.
Shamil Tarpishchev spoke about his meeting with the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on April 13th, as well as the upcoming tournament on April 15th-16th in the Belarusian capital. The Head of the Russian Tennis Federation expressed confidence in further fruitful collaboration with the Belarusian side.
It is reported that after the meeting, Shamil Tarpishchev visited the museum exposition, got acquainted with the achievements of Belarusian sports, and saw the exhibits of Olympic champions Maksim Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka, as well as world’s second racket Aryna Sabalenka.
