Belarus ranks 8th globally in terms of treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in children
As regards treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in children, Belarus has reached the 8th place in the world and is now ahead of the USA, Israel, Japan and Finland – as reported by the Healthcare Ministry with reference to The Lancet
At the moment, at least 90 percent of small patients suffering from this type of leukaemia are cured.
"However, there are also malignant diseases of hematopoietic tissue that are more aggressive and more difficult to treat. These include acute myeloid leukaemia in children," the report reads.
