Belarus, Kyrgyzstan discuss issues of two states’ logistical connectivity and resumption of direct flights
A round table meeting on the issues of bilateral tourism co-operation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan has been held at the Sports and Tourism Ministry via video conferencing, with details reported on the department’s official website
The meeting involved representatives of the Aviation Department of the Transport and Communications Ministry, as well as Minsk National Airport and Manas National Airport. Director of the Tourism Department at the Sports and Tourism Ministry of Belarus Irina Voronovich and Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce — Director of the Department of Tourism Samat Shatmanov delivered welcoming speeches.
During the event, a presentation of Belarus’ tourism potential and Kyrgyzstan was held. The Belarusian side presented various types of tourism: agroecotourism, ecological and historical-cultural. Moreover, the possibilities of organising recreation for Kyrgyz citizens in Belarusian sanatorium and resort organisations were presented.
Alongside increasing mutual tourist flows, the focus was also made on the issues of logistical connectivity between the two countries, the resumption of direct flights and the development of options for connections with stopovers in Minsk and Bishkek.
