Belarus, Iran discussed trade and economic liaisons
The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mikhail Myatlikov, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belarus, Alireza Sanei, BelCCI reports
The parties discussed general issues of Belarusian-Iranian trade and economic co-operation, key areas of interaction between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, as well as prospects for intensifying contacts through the regional branches of the two states’ chambers, including within the framework of a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Tehran this October.
The meeting participants also discussed the possibility of organising a visit of a delegation of Iranian business circles to Belarus in the near future, holding events for businesses of the two countries, including a presentation of the infrastructure of Iranian ports, the potential use of their terminals, prospects for development and possible co-operation with Belarusian companies.
"In addition, issues of collaboration in the field of exhibition and fair activities, the possibility of organising country expositions within the framework of major international exhibitions or congresses in Belarus and Iran were discussed," the source said.
