Congratulating the distinguished guest on taking office, Ivan Kubrakov stressed that Belarus highly appreciates its relations with China – one of the recognised world leaders which pursues a balanced multi-vector policy.
“Our peoples have friendly relations based on mutual trust and respect. Communication between representatives of the Interior Ministry of Belarus and China’s Ministry of Public Security is based on the same principles. We are open to co-operation. We also intend to more actively share our experience in combating drug trafficking, terrorism and extremism, cybercrimes and other types of transnational organised crime,” Ivan Kubrakov underlined.
The Ambassador thanked the Interior Ministry leadership for their openness to interaction and put forward a number of proposals that will speed up the implementation of joint programmes in the field of public security.
The participants of the meeting discussed a wide range of issues, which is especially important on the eve of the visit to Minsk of a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security – scheduled for the near future.
