Belarus, Indonesia confirm mutual interest in intensifying contacts
Sergei Aleinik, Belarus’ First Deputy Foreign Minister discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Belarus (with residence in Moscow), Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, the current issues of Belarusian-Indonesian relations, including interaction in the political, trade-economic, educational and cultural spheres, as well as collaboration of the two countries within international organisations – as reported in the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
It is noted that special attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements following the seventh meeting of the Belarusian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade-Economic and Technical Co-operation, aimed at expanding mutual trade. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in intensifying contacts between Belarus and Indonesia at various levels and agreed to hold a number of joint events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which the countries will celebrate in June 2023.
