Belarus, India outlined practical steps to build up relations

Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik has held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus, Alok Ranjan Jha, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service reports

“The two sides summed up the results of Belarusian-Indian co-operation in 2023 in the political, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres, underlining the positive dynamics of bilateral trade and discussing plans for 2024,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

It is also reported that practical steps have been outlined to build up relations between Belarus and India, including exchange of visits at various levels, holding inter-MFA consultations, meetings of specialised commissions and working groups.

“Issues of interaction between the two countries in international formats, including within the framework of the SCO and BRICS, were separately considered. Moreover, mutual readiness for further joint work was confirmed to give additional impetus to the entire range of relations between the two states,” the Foreign Ministry added.
