Belarus’ gold and foreign currency reserves stood at $8.353bn as of April 1st

According to preliminary data, Belarus’ international reserve assets amounted to 8,352.5m in equivalent as of April 1st, 2024, sb.by reports with reference to the National Bank’s website

According to the National Bank, in March 2024, gold and foreign currency reserves further grew by $133.9m (up 1.6 percent) after a February increase of $125.1m (1.55 percent).

The largest share in the structure of Belarus’ international reserve assets is held by assets in foreign currency and monetary gold. The volume of foreign currency in reserves as of April 1st, 2024, amounted to $3,138.5m – a drop of $158.1m (4.8 percent) over March, and the volume of monetary gold made up 3,843.8m, having increased by $291m (or 8.2 percent).

According to the main guidelines of the country's monetary policy, Belarus’ international reserve assets will total at least $6bn by late 2024.
