Belarus’ Foreign Ministry: EU consciously supports criminals and finances extremists

The Foreign Ministry commented on the EU's declared ‘support for civil society and democratic forces of Belarus’, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus' Foreign Ministry

"The theatrical ‘support of the European Union for civil society and democratic forces of Belarus’ deserves special attention. Brussels' undisguised support for exclusively pro-Western, Russophobic and nationalist forces is alarming," the source stated.

The Foreign Ministry added, “The EU should understand that interaction with some individuals who receive asylum and external financing in Poland and Lithuania, as well as those who call for and carry out proven activities to overthrow the legitimate government and break the constitutional order in Belarus by armed or terrorist methods, means that the European Union consciously supports criminals, finances extremists and focuses on terrorist ways to achieve its goals.”
