Belarus’ flag solemnly raised in front of SCO RATS headquarters in Tashkent
On July 30th, the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO RATS) in Tashkent hosted a solemn ceremony of raising the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus in connection with Belarus’ accession to the SCO as a full-fledged member state following the SCO summit in Astana, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
The ceremony has been attended by Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Ruslan Mirzaev, representatives of the leadership of the State Security Service and the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, ambassadors and permanent representatives of the SCO member states, as well as observers and dialogue partners.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by First Deputy Chairman of Belarus’ State Security Committee (KGB) Sergei Terebov.
The speeches during the solemn event underlined the importance of Belarus joining the Shanghai ‘ten’ and joining the collective efforts and co-operation on the SCO RATS platform in the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
At the end of the ceremony, the Belarusian delegation met with Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Ruslan Mirzaev.
