Belarus, China’s Qingdao discussed areas of co-operation
The Belarusian Embassy in China has hosted a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China Aleksandr Chervyakov and Zhang Xinzhu, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee of Qingdao, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-SCO Pilot Zone, sb.by reports with reference to the diplomatic mission
During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of the visit of the Chinese delegation headed by Chairman of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Meng Qingbing to Belarus, tackled further areas of bilateral co-operation in political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The two sides also expressed their intention to develop a relevant action plan.
The China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Co-operation Demonstration Area is located in the Jiaozhou Administrative Region of Qingdao (Shandong Province). Its establishment was announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in July 2018. The main purpose of the zone is to promote the development of trade relations between China and the states of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation. The Belarusian pavilion is functioning on the territory of the pilot zone and is located in the Pearl of the China-SCO Pilot Zone Expo Centre.
