Belarus and Nizhny Novgorod Region expand co-operation in agriculture

A video conference meeting of the Belarus-Nizhny Novgorod Region agrarian co-operation task group took place at the Agriculture and Food Ministry, sb.by reports citing the ministry’s press-service

First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Aleksandr Lomsky discussed business partnership issues, bilateral product supplies, and agriculture contracts with Nikolay Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of Nizhny Novgorod Region (Russia).

“Our supplies of beef, raw milk products, potatoes and potato products, tomatoes, sugar, and beverages to the Nizhny Novgorod Region are on the rise. The range of products we ship to the region has also expanded compared to 2023. Now it includes confectionery products, starch, pasta, beer, margarine, vinegar, and rapeseed oil,” Mr. Lomsky said.

Both Belarusian and Russian representatives expressed interest in finding more promising areas to expand bilateral product supplies to.

“The business partnership between Belarus and the Russian Nizhny Novgorod region is a task group of industry managers and experts from both countries who work continuously to develop our trade and economic potential. Their meetings always end in tangible agreements and contracts being signed between our companies,” added the press service.
