Belarus, China noted importance of further strengthening bilateral military co-operation
Belarus Defence Minister, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin and Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan have met in Minsk, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Defence Ministry’s Telegram channel
The sides noted the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations in the military sphere, which have the character of an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership.
During the meeting, Viktor Khrenin emphasised the coincidence of the positions of Belarus and China on the main issues of the international agenda.
The two sides have established and actively support mechanisms for regular exchanges of high-level visits, which is the basis for ensuring strategic dialogue, and are actively working to develop relations at the expert level.
“In addition, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin and Mr. Zhang Wenchuan discussed ways to further intensify the main areas of Belarusian-Chinese military co-operation in the near future, both in the bilateral and multilateral format,” the Belarusian defence department said in a statement.
