Belarus’ Ambassador to Vietnam: it’s vital to use IT achievements for creative development of society
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou and embassy staff attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam National Digital Transformation Day under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam – as reported in the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission
The event, held at the National Conference Hall, featured the Prime Minister of Vietnam, who awarded the startup winners in the Digital Transformation Solution of the Year category. He drew attention to the fact that computerisation should become ‘a driving force and a new way of socio-economic development’.
Moreover, the Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam addressed the audience, urging to expand online access to services for the population, improving the safety of electronic databases, and developing more mobile applications.
During the event, a brief exchange of views of representatives of the diplomatic corps took place. The Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam pointed out the importance of using achievements in the IT field for the creative development of society, and also spoke in favour of equal access to technology.
