Bartosh: about fifteen new pig-breeding farms to be built in Belarus
It’s planned to build about fifteen new high-tech pig-breeding farms in the country – as Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Minister Sergei Bartosh told journalists after the meeting with the President
According to him, it is necessary to restore the production volumes that were achieved earlier. To achieve this, it’s necessary to build new pig-breeding facilities, instead of those existing today that do not allow us to provide the necessary level and profitability of production.
“A programme will be worked out in this direction and we will plan the construction of 14 pig-breeding farms,” the Minister said. “Moreover, it’s necessary to finally study the issue of reconstructing the facilities and ensure that all these are filled with livestock. To do this, we need to work on technologies and animal health.”
Sergei Bartosh added that if everything that was discussed at today’s meeting is fulfilled, we will provide our meat processing industry with the necessary volume of raw materials for processing.
