Avdonin on Independence Day: few countries boast such high degree of freedom as Belarus

Belarusians should be proud that they have such a holiday as Independence Day – as noted by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies

“This holiday has always had a special meaning. However, today, celebrating it, we feel its meaning even more strongly, because we see how the collective West has done everything to destroy the Belarusian sovereignty over the past three years. Nevertheless, we ourselves can decide how to develop, in what direction to build our economy, our society, how to change legislation and the system of public administration. We are truly independent. Few countries today can boast that they have the same degree of freedom. We should be proud of this,” stressed the political analyst.
