Apple to launch iPhone 14 production in India
American Apple intends to launch production of its iPhone 14 smartphone in India, TASS reports
According to Bloomberg, the company's specialists are ‘working with suppliers to accelerate manufacturing’ of a new iPhone model in India.
Apple has been producing most of its iPhones in China for a long time, but now it is trying to find alternatives due to the complication of relations between the governments of the United States and China, and also the increased risks of ‘disruption of economic activity’ in China because of the introduction of restrictive measures in some parts of the country in connection with the spread of COVID-19.
According to a leading analyst at TF International Securities, simultaneous deliveries of a new smartphone model from India and China will enable Apple ‘to diversify supply chains and create spare capacity’.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that new iPhone 14 smartphones will be presented on September 7th, and sales are scheduled to launch on September 16th.
