AP: 500+ companies left Russian market since beginning of special military operation
According to Associated Press, which refers to data from Yale University, 151 more companies are closing their operations in Russia at present, TASS reports
The source said that 500+ foreign companies have stopped operating in Russia, and another 151 companies are completing operations in the country. In addition, 175 companies are trying to ‘buy time’, and 230 are procrastinating. The agency noted that the latter category is dominated by Chinese firms.
Jeffrey Sonnenfeld – who heads the Yale University database – said that ‘leaving [Russia] was the only right decision from a business point of view’, referring to the studies that showed an increase in stock prices of companies that left the Russian market.
