Ambassador discussed Belarus’ interaction with Gazprom in St. Petersburg
As part of his trip to St. Petersburg, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi has held a working meeting with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller, sb.by reports with reference to the diplomatic mission’s press service
During the meeting, the two sides discussed interaction between Belarus and the Russian state corporation, stressing a reliable gas supply to Belarusian consumers during the heating season.
According to the press service, particular attention was paid to mutual efforts in import substitution and ensuring technological independence, including in the context of the work of our joint venture Brestgazoapparat JSC – the CIS largest manufacturer of household gas-electric appliances. Dmitry Krutoi and Alexey Miller highly appreciated the co-operation between the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (MZKT) and the Galich Mobile Cranes Plant, which developed a tractor-trailer with a lifting capacity of 100 tonnes specifically for Gazprom needs.
As reported by the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, the meeting participants reviewed the progress of the implementation of a construction project – landmark for the Belarusian capital and Gazprom: a high-rise building on Nezavisimosti Avenue in Minsk.
The parties also shared views on the prospects for expanding the participation of Belarusian organisations in the additional gasification of Russian regions, following the example of our gas workers’ successful operation in the Smolensk Region.
Moreover, the activities of Belarusian trading houses in the Russian regions were discussed as a separate topic.
