Almost 4m tonnes of grain harvested in Belarus by now
By early morning of August 10th, 296,000 tonnes of grain were harvested in the country, and the total volume made 3,837,000 tonnes
Grain and leguminous crops (without corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested at 48 percent of lands: 78 percent in the Brest region, 29 percent in the Vitebsk Region, 55 percent in the Gomel Region, 40 percent in the Grodno Region, 45 percent in the Minsk Region, and 38 percent in the Mogilev Region.
The average yield made 37.7 quintals per hectare (it stood at 32 a year ago). In the Brest Region, this figure made 39.7 (35.6), in the Vitebsk Region – 32.6 (27.7), in the Gomel Region – 24.5 (23.6), in the Grodno Region – 53.2 (39.3), in the Minsk Region – 44.3 (36.1), and in the Mogilev Region – 31.8 (30.3).
