Aleinik took part in official wreath laying ceremony at Ataturk Mausoleum in Turkiye

During his official visit to the Republic of Turkiye, Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik has taken part in the official wreath laying ceremony at the Ataturk Mausoleum – as reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service

During the official visit to Turkiye, negotiations will be held between Belarus’ Foreign Minister and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, tackling the topic of international and regional security, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

As part of the visit, the 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish joint intergovernmental commission on economic co-operation will also take place, chaired by the Head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and Turkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli.

“It is planned to discuss the entire range of issues on the bilateral agenda with an emphasis on trade-economic and investment interaction. The focus is on collaboration in the field of industrial co-operation, agriculture, and the participation of the Belarusian side in the work to restore areas of Turkiye affected by the devastating earthquakes in February,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

Moreover, it is planned that the parties will consider the prospects for the development of sci-tech liaisons between Belarus and Turkiye, alongside ways to further strengthen contacts between representatives of business communities and organisations for promoting the two countries’ exports.
