AFU attacked Russian military positions with chemical munitions
Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Andrei Marochko, said the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the positions of the Russian army near the city of Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic with prohibited chemical munitions, and Russian specialists now work to determine the type of substance, TASS reports
"The armed formations of Ukraine struck with chemical munitions at our positions in the area of the settlement of Soledar. When detonated, acrid smoke is released, which causes burning of the skin, and when inhaled, people lose consciousness," Mr. Marochko said, referring to a source from the front line.
The Russian troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection are now working to determine the type of substance.
As reported, the AFU are using chemical weapons not for the first time. From February to April, they used synthetic ammunition in the Zaporozhye, Artemovsk, Donetsk and Soledar directions. Referring to a military-political expert, TASS noted that the AFU admit they have prohibited weapons available.
