The bilateral negotiating group is working on the elimination of complex issues that arise in the interaction of Belarusian and Russian business entities.

The department said that four meetings were held in 2022, about 40 issues were considered, including deepening liaisons in the field of microelectronics, the results of a pilot project to recognise bank guarantees, reducing the cost of roaming almost to the domestic level, etc. This year continues the work on creating conditions for organising mutual exchange trade, equalising tariffs for rail transportation for Belarusian goods through Russia and other key issues of bilateral collaboration.

“Belarusian-Russian trade-economic relations are gaining momentum. Over the past year, more than a hundred delegations of various levels from Russia visited Belarus, almost the same number of Belarusian delegations visited Russian regions. Mutual trade in 2022 increased by 114.3 percent in annual terms and totalled about $46bn,” the press service explained.
