Lukashenko congratulated Pope Francis on his birthday

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Pope Francis on his birthday, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

“Let me reaffirm my admiration for your dedication to serving the world and the flock, your strength of faith and spirit, and your ability to be a friend with an open heart and soul. I am pleased to note the high level of co-operation and the active development of relations between Belarus and the Vatican thanks in large to your efforts. I hope to meet you in person, which will undoubtedly give impetus to the comprehensive strengthening of Belarusian-Vatican relations. We will be happy to see you on the Belarusian land, where you are sincerely loved and appreciated,” the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Pope Francis strong health, long life and service for the benefit of his responsible mission.
