Zelenskyy declared creation of Ukrainian fleet of marine drones
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, claims that Kiev has created a fleet of marine drones, which is already operating in the Black Sea, TASS reports
"For the first time in the world, a fleet of marine drones, the Ukrainian fleet, has begun operating in the Black Sea," Mr. Zelenskyy said in a video message to the participants of the meeting of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Co-operation.
In late August, it was reported that the AFU created a separate brigade working with marine kamikaze drones. In September, Mr. Zelenskyy said that a fleet of marine drones was being created in Ukraine. On November 14th, the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov, made a statement that Kiev had launched mass production of surface unmanned boats.
The Russian Defence Ministry regularly reports on the destruction of Ukrainian unmanned boats in the Black Sea, as well as their production and storage sites.
