The rushnik [hand embroidered towel] is made in the technique of traditional Belarusian hand weaving. The motif of its patterns reflects the folk ornaments peculiar for these territories: the soil is a symbol of stability and fertility, the sun stands for warmth, light and the birth of something new, and the sown field is a symbol of prosperity and wealth.
