US announces $325m in new arms aid for Ukraine

US President Joe Biden ordered to allocate new $325m military aid package to Ukraine which will include ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), TASS reports

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “The administration of US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine. It will include ammunition for the US-supplied MLRS HIMARS and artillery shells. The United States will continue to work with allies and partners to help Ukraine.”

She also clarified that the announcement of new support measures will come from representatives of the US Department of State and the US Department of Defence.
