UN announced Guterres’ readiness to mediate in Ukraine conflict

UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed his readiness to become a mediator in the Ukrainian conflict only if all parties agree, TASS reports

His office commented on Kiev’s initiative voiced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to hold a ‘peace summit’ by the end of February, preferably at the United Nations with UN Chief as a possible mediator, “As the Secretary-General has repeatedly stated in the past, he can mediate, but only if all parties want him to mediate.”
