Ukraine stated its foreign trade deficit for 11 months of 2023 reached $34.1bn
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Danil Getmantsev, noted that Ukraine’s foreign trade deficit in January-November 2023 reached $34.1bn, TASS reports
Danil Getmantsev said that the foreign trade deficit stands at $34.1bn, including $25.7bn in goods and $8.4bn in services. It is noted that during the reporting period $57bn of goods were imported while $31.3bn of goods were exported – 17 percent down compared to 2022 figures. From January to November 2023, the trade deficit in goods has almost tripled compared to the same period in 2022 ($8.7bn).
Ukraine has the largest deficit in trade in goods with Asian countries – $11.5bn. As far as trade with European countries is concerned, the figure is $9.1bn, including $7.4bn with EU member states.
