Romanov named Belarus’ vital task in international arena

The task of Belarus is to be an island of stability, order and peace in this raging sea of the modern world – as noted by Chairman of the Belaya Rus Republican Public Association Oleg Romanov during his talk with STV TV channel

He believes that 2023 has been declared as the Year of Peace and Creation at proper time. Romanov explained his point of view, “The fact is that the processes that are now in a hot phase have been prepared for a long time. I mean the wars and conflicts that are going on in certain countries. Moreover, now we see the formation of a new geo-structure of the world and a change in the rules of the game, which have worked for the past decades. These rules were often destructive, bringing benefits to a narrow group of the population, a small part of the countries that exist on our planet, the so-called ‘golden billion’. In such conditions, the rest of the countries plunged more and more into poverty and despair. Of course, this state of affairs could not continue indefinitely. The tensions were running high and the conflict points grew in number. In recent years, they seemed to break through, in particular, this happened in the post-Soviet space.”

Oleg Romanov indicated the path along which our country should go in such conditions, “In this sense, the task of Belarus is to remain an island of stability, order and peace in this raging sea of the modern world. There are different ways to do this: diplomatic, political, military, and cultural. The leadership of our country pursues the appropriate policy to solve this problem.”
