President Administration received about 50 letters with comments on Ukrainian events
This has been stated today by the Head of the President Administration, Igor Sergeyenko, as he met with servicemen of the 19th Separate Guards Mechanised Brigade and residents of the village of Zaslonovo in the Lepel District
“By now, the President Administration has received about 50 letters with different comments on the situation in Ukraine. Those were letters with support and a request to stop the war. The fate of our truckers – the drivers who are trying to leave the territory of Ukraine – is probably the most painful topic that causes a great stir. We receive letters full of parents’ soul pain; they ask us to help these people come back. Believe me, the work aiming at the return is being carried out by the Foreign Ministry. Everything possible is being done, but it is difficult. But I am convinced that we will bring all these people back from there,” Mr. Sergeyenko said.
According to the Head of the President Administration, there are about 200 truckers in Ukraine now. This Tuesday alone, thirteen drivers returned to Belarus. Many have to come back through the territory of Poland.
In total, as Mr. Sergeyenko noted, the President Administration annually receives about 25,000 appeals on a variety of topics from all over the country.
