Polish security forces ousted refugees to Belarus to search for a drone
On the Belarusian-Polish border, another attempt was made to forcibly oust refugees by the Polish security forces – as reported by the State Border Committee of Belarus in its Telegram channel
According to the Belarusian border department, the Polish security forces threw seven citizens of Afghanistan through the gate for animals, using special equipment and physical violence against foreigners, and also taking away their personal belongings and money.
According to the refugees, before being discovered by the Belarusian border guards, the Polish military had already forced them into the territory of Belarus.
“Moreover, the refugees were promised to be allowed back to Poland if they find a drone with a Polish SIM card that has fallen on the territory of Belarus. However, when the search was unsuccessful and the foreigners tried to return, the Polish security forces beat them up and forced them back to Belarus again,” the State Border Committee noted.
During the search activities, the Belarusian border detachment discovered a drone. A group of refugees and a drone were taken to the border post for the investigation.
“Given that a cargo with excisable goods was attached to the drone, such an interest of the military of the neighbouring side in returning it back raises questions. The involvement of representatives of the Polish regulatory services in smuggling schemes at the border is evidenced by the recent detention of about a dozen customs officers who worked at the Bobrowniki checkpoint,” the State Border Committee added.
