Polish army to receive over 100 used Abrams tanks from US
In early 2023, the Polish army will receive 116 Abrams tanks that were previously in service transferred by the United States, TASS reports
The delivery of tanks to Poland from the United States was announced by the Polish Minister of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak.
“An agreement has already been reached with the US administration,” he stated.
In April 2022, Poland has already purchased 250 new Abrams tanks from the US. The batch that the Polish side will receive at the beginning of 2023 will be an addition.
Earlier it became known that the United States over the past two weeks has provided $3bn in assistance to Ukraine. Kiev expressed gratitude to the American authorities for supporting the Ukrainian side during the military operation.
