The news agency recalled that earlier Poland had repeatedly stated that the country would not switch to the European currency yet. Thus, the government of the country referred to the fact that the transition to the Euro was provided for in the agreement on the country’s accession to the European Union, but the specific dates for this process were not indicated.

“If we give up the Zloty, then the standard of living in Poland will grow slowly, our household budgets will grow slowly, the level of consumption will be low compared to Germany, France, and Holland,” said Adam Glapiński.

“At the same time, if we keep the Zloty, then there are chances that in 8-10 years we will be at the same level as they are,” he said.
