Poland began building e-fence on border with Russia
Poland has launched the construction of an electronic fence on the border with the Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kaminski
“Concrete earthworks have begun as part of the construction of an electronic barrier on the Polish-Russian border: on the border with the Kaliningrad Region,” Mr. Kaminski said.
In addition, the Polish official informed that it will be ‘an unprecedented in its modernity’ structure consisting of day and night vision cameras, motion sensors and other means that will help ensure ‘full monitoring of everything that is being done at the border’.
In turn, the Polish Border Guard stated that the barrier will stretch for almost 200km, and the work is scheduled to compete this autumn.
