Opinion: military industry receiving increasing incomes, while ordinary Europeans have to tighten belts

NATO claims that the Steadfast Defender-2024 military drills are supposedly of a defensive nature are assessed by the Union State military experts in a different manner. The nature of the weapons and the number of military troops on our borders only confirm NATO’s aggressive plans. Over 50 ships, about 80 fighters, helicopters and drones and at least 1,100 combat vehicles, including 133 tanks, 533 infantry fighting vehicles and about 90,000 military troops, are taking part in the manoeuvres. Military analyst Igor Chibisov explains what NATO is rehearsing near Belarus' borders.

Former Commander of the Polish Ground Forces Waldemar Skrzypczak publicly stated that the Polish military are preparing for some kind of uprising in Belarus, and their task is to provide assistance to the rebels, referring primarily to a military operation. UK Army Chief, General Patrick Sanders, called on the British to prepare for mobilisation in the name of the crown. According to him, war with Russia is inevitable, and Great Britain must be ready to form a ‘citizen’ army of tens of thousands of people in addition to its contract army. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius also urged to prepare weapons for war in 3-5 years. The world is now in its most dangerous situation in decades, and the current NATO drills are becoming unprecedented. European media tabloids appear under headlines like ‘Preparing for War’. But we shouldn’t forget: when they actively spread information noise that a war will soon begin, it means someone needs this. It is clear that military psychosis is a huge success for politicians and generals. After all, army contracts are always a tasty morsel, since no one really controls them. The military industry begins to receive new contracts and increasing incomes, while military budgets can be increased indefinitely. However, ordinary Europeans, on the contrary, will have to tighten their belts even tighter,” the expert believes.
