New general plans of Minsk’s satellite cities approved

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, signed Decree No. 149 approving new versions of the general plans for Minsk’s satellite cities: Smolevichi, Fanipol and Rudensk, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

The updated plans define strategies for the territorial development of the listed satellite cities until 2035, taking into account the requirements of the Head of State for their advanced development and current trends in urban planning.

The plans envisage approaches to the rational use and landscaping of territories, taking into account the resource capabilities of the satellite cities, the planned parameters of their socio-economic development in conjunction with Minsk, as well as the existing and future environmental restrictions.

All the outlined measures are focused on increasing the population of the satellite cities and organising a comfortable living environment for their residents.
