National Bank, Great Patriotic War History Museum presented commemorative coin dedicated to 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation
The Great Patriotic War History Museum, together with the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, opened the Minted Memory exhibition, which features silver and copper-nickel commemorative coins from the National Bank's Money Museum fund. A commemorative coin dedicated to the upcoming great holiday of Victory Day has become the main exhibit, and – as noted by the museum’s Director, Vladimir Voropaev, it is a small contribution to perpetuating the feat of the Belarusian people.
“Our country, like no other, knows well about all the horrors of war. Unfortunately, every third Belarusian did not manage to survive those ill-fated years, and the main task of our modern generation is to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War and take care of veterans. The present exhibition is also a small contribution to this common task,” Mr. Voropaev said.
