Muraveiko: Belarus’ Armed Forces ready to respond adequately to any provocations and challenges
The Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are ready to adequately respond to any challenges and threats against the state border and the country as a whole – as stated by Pavel Muraveiko, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, commenting on the results of today’s meeting with the President of Belarus on military security issues
According to Mr. Muraveiko, the state of affairs at the state border is always in the field of view of the Head of State. “We have today discussed the conditions, factors and threats that are concentrated in the southern operational area. The situation, to be honest, is not easy. The concentration of troops, the activities carried out by the Ukrainian side on our border, the actions in the Kursk direction that are causing resonance on a global scale make us think of whether we can counteract challenges and threats of the kind. The Head of State directly asked the leadership of the defence department of what we are ready for, and how we will counteract,” he said.
The Chief of the General Staff assured that the Armed Forces are ready to perform all tasks and adequately respond to any provocations and challenges that may be directed against Belarus.
