Mr. Vorobyov noted that all his colleagues, the Russian governors who met with the Belarusian President, always emphasise his business mindset, as well as ‘the applied issues that need to be solved and which give results’. “It is with great pleasure that I am here in Minsk, and I am very grateful for the warm welcome. All the nine directions outlined by Aleksandr Grigorievich are important both for the development of Belarus and our country – including, the Moscow Region,” he said.

Construction is one of the promising areas for mutually beneficial work, and Mr. Vorobyov informed that a large construction project is underway in the Moscow Region, so Belarusian construction organisations can always find a worthy place in the market – either supplying materials or participating in the production.

Agriculture and the related export potential are another profitable topic, and the Russian Governor noted, “Trade accounts for 25 percent of the Moscow Region’s products. We have large hubs, and they enable manufacturers to export their products worldwide.”

Special attention at the meeting was paid to cultural and educational exchange. There are a number of flagship schools in the Moscow Region that will accept children from all over Belarus, while sending their own boys and girls to Belarus for the exchange of experiences, learning methods and views on life.

“We value our relations with Belarus, we would like to have common interests. Therefore, it was a very useful meeting, that was my first meeting with the President. We actually knew each other not communicating in person, because a team of the Moscow Region Government works and accompanies various important projects. We buy equipment [from Belarus], co-operate with the Mogilev Elevator Plant. We are here to say that we are a close-knit family. We are looking for common interests and are ready to implement them together," Mr. Vorobyov stressed.
